Gorgeous Fun Wedding at the Grand Hall at the Priory, Northside, Pittsburgh
Read moreSam and Alex's day was so full of joy and love. It truly felt perfect.
They planned extremely well and then let themselves enjoy the day. I always advise all of my couples to do the same. It goes so fast. Scroll down to take a look at some of my favorite photos ever <3
Joyful wedding at Saint Aidan’s Parish and Hampton Banquet Hall
Read moreI met up with Simey and Jerrold downtown on a Tuesday afternoon after they exchanged vows at their local courthouse. They wanted an engagement style shoot to commemorate the day as they have plans for larger celebrations abroad in the new year.
I LOVE shooting downtown during the week. There are less crowds to work around, more space to play and less photoshopping for me haha!
They showed up ready to roll and I think I think their carefree attitude really shines in their images. To me, its just as important to have posed photos as it is to have the candid, running through the streets shots. They were so fun and down for anything I threw at them!
I love that more of my couples are going for suits and a dressed up vibe. It really elevates the whole session. Check out all of Simey’s accessories, I died for her shoes!
We shot at the Allegheny County Courthouse courtyard, Mellon Square and One PPG Place. Thanks to Simey and Jerrold for having me document this day, I had a blast!
From their first email Stacey and Vince were specific on the type of photos they wanted, less predictable, ‘cookie cutter,’ and more real moments. I love when my clients have a specific vision and it’s something I keep in mind as I go about documenting the day. Some highlights:
They put together custom playlists for getting ready, cocktail hour, dinner, etc. The jams on the party bus were so fun!
The ring bearer passed the rings over to Vince in a football shaped purse (he’s a football coach) and Stacey carried it for the rest of the day.
Stacey is a true animal lover and I have so many photos of her stopping and meeting dogs throughout the day. We also took plenty of photos of Vince and their dog Abigail for her desk.
The photos of them waiting in the stairwell at Monterey Bay and walking across the street at sunset are my personal favorites. I can almost feel the joy and excitement of the day when I look at them.
Their wedding was a perfect representation of their relationship and that’s what I want for all couples. Something I remind everyone is ‘it’s your day,’ make it feel the most you. Congrats again to Stacey and Vince, your day was an absolute blast!!
